| Castiglion Fiorentino is an Etruscan town situated in the heart of Tuscany. Easy to get to whether travelling by plane, train or car; 90km from Florence, 60km from Siena and 50km from Perugia.It hosts a wide variety of restaurants with typical Tuscan dishes, bars and plenty of shops and sights to see. For the sporty type there is a small complex, which has tennis and football facilities. Plus a wonderful Olympic-size swimming pool (open from June to September) which offers a bar and restaurant and of course a beautiful view of Castiglion Fiorentino The apartment, which is hidden 5km away in the countryside, is managed by a genuine and hospitable family. Coffee and tea making facilities are available and also nearby there is a "Pasticceria" for a real Italian breakfast, which consists of a creamy cappuccino and homemade pastries. For anyone thinking of staying in this part of Tuscany transport is a must but definitely worth the while. |
